Our MissionAbout Us

To provide the highest quality of religious, educational, and social services to the community in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). To establish the Mosque as a Muslim Family center to meet the spiritual, social, and civil needs of all Muslims. To foster the ideal American Muslim identity that allows the community members to follow the Islamic faith and have a positive impact on the lives of our fellow citizens and humanity at large.

Our Purpose

Al Aqsa Masjid and Community Center is a vibrant diverse community in membership. With its roots from East Asian countries, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and few revert Muslims. Naturally with a beautiful blend of diversity, needs are be diverse too.

Our trustees and board of directors strives to fulfill those needs. The mosque is open for five daily prayers and holds Friday services at 1:05pm. We have an Imam who besides leading the daily prayers conducts Nazirah (Quran recitation) classes. We also provide marriage services, counseling, and general advice. In addition we provide a variety of educational programs and community building activities for our members.

We give high emphasis to our youth. We work to support and develop our youth with weekly and bi-weekly Halaqas (gatherings) for both boys and girls separately. Our goal to implement programs in an Islamic environment with authentic Islamic education while promoting good citizenship and leadership in our youth.

Our Sunday school focuses primarily on mosque based education. Sunday school includes classes for children of all ages. Classes are diverse and include Quran study, morals and manners, History of Islam, Arabic language, Hadith (Sayings of Prophet Mohammad pbuh), and more.

Our community outreach programs focuses on education and interactions with our neighbors and rest of the Non-Muslim community at large. Our dawah programs are tailored to promote peace and understanding between Islamic and other faiths. We engage and work in cooperation with other Islamic organization to conduct our dawah and outreach programs.
